  • “Rachel Tribout’s illustrations for One Remarkable Reef transport young readers into another world. Her flair for visual storytelling and keen sense of design beautifully complement Kellie Byrnes’ text to create a delightfully engaging book about the creatures of the Great Barrier Reef. Rachel’s also a delight to work with – we had extremely tight deadlines for this project, but Rachel was so easy to communicate with and always delivered on time and to the highest standard. She’s a consummate professional, but she also brings such joy and enthusiasm to the process.”

  • “I’ve had the pleasure of working on several large festival projects with Rachel as the designer. She works so quickly, with such high quality and great attention to detail. She’s always happy to chat about concepts and how to get the right feeling of an event captured in her beautiful illustrations. Nothing is too hard, and her professional swift responses to questions makes her one of the easiest designers I’ve worked with. I look forward to working with her more in the future.”

    — Kat, Event Coordinator at The Taste of Tasmania

  • “Extinct in the wild on mainland Australia, Tasmania is now the only stronghold for eastern barred bandicoots in the world. But with increasing urbanisation comes increasing threats, and the City of Hobart needed an illustrator who could capture the spirit of these endearing creatures in an urban/bushland environment to help inspire people to become guardians of Hobart’s bandicoots. We turned to Rachel Tribout for help and she delivered more than we could hope for. Her illustrations are the perfect depiction of place and sanctuary.”

    — John, Communications Coordinator at City of Hobart

  • “Whether it’s designing educational artwork for giant billboards, brochures or inspirational posters, Rachel has been a deadset pro in bringing my dreams to life and is always an absolute pleasure to work with.”

    — Hannah, Owner at Goodlife Permaculture

  • Rachel Tribout is an exceptional illustrator and graphic designer who blends creativity with strategic thinking to deliver impactful visual work. She has successfully led campaigns, managed complex projects and fostered collaborative creative environments, making her a valued partner and mentor.

ABOUT ME

French-born. Brisbane-based. Drawing since forever.

I'm an illustrator and graphic designer based in Brisbane. After 15 years in Hobart, I still work closely with clients there alongside organisations across Australia (and occasionally beyond).

With more than a decade and a half of experience, I combine illustration, design and storytelling to help brands and organisations communicate clearly and meaningfully. My work spans campaigns, children's books and illustration-led brand identities.

I like to understand the why before jumping to the what. That means I work closely with clients from early concept through to final delivery, with an eye on the details and the bigger picture.
